Getting to Know Us

Our wedding day (April 2nd, 2011)
We first met on the luckiest day of the century (07-07-07) at a Salsa dance class in San Francisco. After spending time on the dance floor, we quickly danced into each other’s hearts, and on April 2nd, 2011, we were married in a beautiful ceremony at Disneyland in California. We share a love of travel, great food, family, friends, movies, musicals, and helping others.
We love to travel, and whether we’re going to a theme park, a Broadway show, or just relaxing on the beach, we always make it a point to have fun and try something new. Some of the interesting experiences we’ve shared together include swimming with dolphins, riding 545 miles on our bicycles from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and even joining a circus school for a day!
Our son, Connor, joined our family through open adoption in 2013. He loves soccer, swimming and superheroes, and is excited to be a big brother. We're all looking forward to taking the next big step in our lifelong journey by expanding our family and welcoming a new baby into our home!

About Eric (By Mat)
“I knew that I loved Eric the first time I heard his infectious laugh. He has an enormous heart, boundless energy and optimism, and is definitely the entertainer in the family. Eric loves getting into the holiday spirit and has been known to dress up as Santa, an elf, the Easter bunny, and even a leprechaun. He's a STAY-AT-HOME DAD, so he gets all the best jobs initially, such as late night feedings, diaper changes, and making our child smile - something I know he is going to be an expert at!” |
About Mat (By Eric)
“I knew that I loved Mat when I found out how organized he was. OK, the British accent helped a little too. Even though Mat is an American citizen, he was born in England and we visit his family there at least once a year. Mat is the Chief Financial Officer at a law firm, where he manages all the financial decisions for the company. He loves the arts, especially movies and the theater. He is also a roller-coaster fanatic and loves to travel. Mat is kind-hearted, down to earth, smart, and very creative. He will be in charge of story-time, playing games, and helping with difficult homework.” |
